Asus GL551JM Drivers Download - The Asus GL551 is one of the very most affordable gaming notebooks I've reviewed so far, going face to face with the similarly specced - but slimmer - Lenovo Y50. Also starting at $1,099 (about ?673, AU$1249), the Lenovo includes the same 2.5Ghz Intel Primary i7-4710HQ cpu, Nvidia GTX 860M images greeting card and a 1080p full HD screen. The only disadvantages is the Y50 features 8GB of Memory . 5 the space for storage (albeit with the good thing about an 8GB SSD cache).
So far as gaming notebooks go, the Asus GL551 attempts never to call too much focus on itself. The notebook doesn't threaten to carefully turn an area into a multicolored disco, nor is there any hostile design quirks better fitted to hypercars.
If anything, the GL551 efforts to go away off as a gussied up multimedia system machine, with a red backlit key pad and crimson chamfered sides on the laptop's lower lip. Regrettably, this well developed down cosmetic is marred by the pervasiveness of Asus's Republic of Gamers company logo.

It could have been enough to just embroider the laptop's cover with the brand, but Asus travelled a little too much, stamping the tribal tattoo on the hand snooze as well. In the meantime, Republic of Gamers is imprinted prominently above the computer keyboard. It's as though Asus says "hey, remember this is a gaming machine."
The probably reason behind the GL551's close - and sometimes leading - performance set alongside the Lenovo is its just a little faster CPU (the Y50 we analyzed was included with a tick slower 2.4GHz Key i7 cpu). That is evidenced by the PCMark 8 test, where in fact the GL551 is seen by us scored 3,040 factors, a markedly better performance than Y50's 2,644 report.
However, it appears that having more video recording Memory is all too important when making games with an increase of fps. Cinebench results show the Lenovo rig tugging in advance with 97 fps in the Asus's 89 fps.
